FGFS and the trick track bike are on the come back. Mark my words. With the release of the much anticipated FOAD film, “The Good Times Are Killing Me” I figured it proper to share this studio photo of Spencer Siegrist’s V6 Volume Cutter build.

I’m not sure how it happens, but everything that’s shot on the Hasselblad 503cx comes out looking like pure gold. Even with film that expired more than 15 years ago. Big thanks to everyone who came out for the event and put up with me constantly herding everyone together for family photos. I know I ask a lot, but having photos to remember these times are worth it in the end. Until next time my dudes.
The Prickly Pear Jam is one FGFS event that won’t soon be forgotten. Both by those who attended and those who kept up with it around the globe. It threw a can of gasoline on the fire and stoked out the entire community. Equivalent to what Mid West Mayhem did for the scene more than 6 years ago. Beers don’t normally grow on trees, but they might as well have during yesterday’s TCB cross race. The flyer said something about bringing a backpack and a handful of sanitizer, which left us with more than a handful of questions. It was a race around a track that was littered with bicycle debris, trash, feathers and warm beers that were hidden throughout the course. Each lap counted as a point as well as each piece of trash collected along the way. At the end of the 30 minute race the points were tallied and the park looked cleaner than ever. Shout out to RJ Rabe & Ramon for hosting this one and keep an ear to the ground for next month’s.

Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. Those words couldn’t be more true as the 2016 Prickly Pear Jam in Arizona comes to a close. Huge shout out to everyone who showed up and an ever louder applause to Mike Schmitt for bringing everyone together. I’m looking forward to seeing where the next jam like this is going to take place. Day One and we’re already sun burnt. Everyone is beginning to trickle in for the Prickly Pear Jam Saturday. It’s been 100+ degrees each day we’ve been here and I’m already in the market for an endless amount of sun screen, a bigger hat, and a sweat towel. We’ve wasted no time in getting broken off and feeling like death at the end of the day. The MASH SF World Premiere was nothing short of inspiring. Everyone bolted and by the time they reached their bikes they were swallowed up by smoke. I grabbed my ride and scrambled to find a familiar face to follow, but ended up getting swept up by the rest of the pack. The Alleycat consisted of a 8 stop loop around the city with a vicious climb up Twin Peaks to kick things off. It was an impressive thing to see the line up of Jerseys and bikes they’ve had over the years. The doors out front of the Victoria Theatre held a line most of the night with people anxious to get in. Once the video started playing the room ignited with a roar which lasted most of the showing. If you didn’t have a chance to see it they’ll be playing it at Interbike next week as well as a bunch of other locations around the globe.

Last Saturday the FIXIEBOYZ408 came to The City to hangout and ride for the day. We met up at Wallenberg and warmed up for a bit before exploring the neighborhood to ride some spots we haven’t been to in a while. Jimmy Watcha killed it as always, Daniel Le kicked a bunch of one footed cans throughout the day, and Peter Van Nguyen linked at least one technical line at every spot we went to. It was good to catch some photos of Spencer Siegrist for a change, especially considering the fact he’s there most of the time we’re out filming. After all was said and done, Mike Schmitt walked away with the photo of the day after skidding through a lone pile of sand. Check out more shots below and hit us up if you want to ride this weekend.

A couple weeks ago we all met up in SF and drove down a dirt road to this DIY skate spot we’ve been wanting to ride. We set up camp, hydrated, ate pizza, and shredded until the sun started to set and the fog rolled in. The mix of quikrete and graffiti made the ditch as slick as ice and took some getting used to, but after about an hour or so everybody figured out the footwork and was back in action. This definitely wasn’t the easiest spot to ride, but that’s what made it rad. We all had a killer time and are already figuring out the next trip outside The City.
